AFFA Action is always looking for dedicated leaders to join our Board of Directors.

What Our Board Does:

As a board member, you’ll help guide the strategic direction of the organization, provide oversight and support for our mission, and help connect AFFA Action to the broader community through your networks and lived experiences.

We value a wide range of identities, professions, and perspectives. Whether you’re LGBTQ+ or an ally, a seasoned nonprofit leader or a first-time board applicant—we want to hear from you.

Who We’re Looking For:

We're especially seeking individuals with experience in:

  • Fundraising or grant writing

  • Advocacy or organizing

  • Legal, financial, or nonprofit management

  • LGBTQ+ healthcare, education, or mental health

  • Representation from marginalized or rural communities

Time Commitment:

  • Monthly Board Meetings

  • Occasional committee work

  • Attendance at key AFFA events (like our advocacy trainings, State House hearings, or Pride)
